What it is
Two plies of one estate
Coir yarn is the husk's strand twisted twice: singles spun first, then two plies laid against each other so the yarn keeps its life under tension. It is the form most of the coir world actually trades in, from coconut coir rope and garden twine to the warp of woven geotextiles. Many coir yarn suppliers sell what they have never seen spun; this house spins from its own fibre and writes the runnage on the lot.
