A log that ends as soil
Clean coir fibre is packed hard into knotted coir netting until the log is dense enough to blunt moving water. Staked along a stream bank or lake edge, these coir rolls take the riverbank's punishment while plants root through them; in bioengineering schemes, coir logs are the quiet structure that teaches the ground to hold itself. By the time the vegetation stands alone, the log is already becoming the soil beneath it.
